Hiring new employees does not have to be a difficult task. If you organize and review resumes thoroughly, you will be able to narrow down your options to a smaller pool of candidiates. While conducting interviews for a job opening, be prepared with a list of questions in advance that you can ask the person applying for the job. Shake their hand when they first arrive and notice how they are dressed and the way they carry themselves. Good qualities to look for include friendly manners, dressing nicely and respectably, and good communication skills. Ask questions specifically about the person's work experience as well as their skills and weaknesses in the work place. Make sure each question is open-ended so the candidate would give longer responses that could give you a better idea of who they are rather than answering yes or no questions. Questions about their previous work experience can help you make the decision if they do have skills that would be helpful in your business or line of work. At the end of the interview, be sure to ask the candidate it they have any questions.
