I Spy!

We've all done it, a time (or three). Google.com: search: (enter your name here). Yeah, that's right. We have all, at one point or another, googled ourselves. Why not? We all want to know what dirt there is to be found on ourselves, and we want to know what that dirt is to be prepared for whatever situation.

The next part of this intrigue? Finding out who else has googled you. It wasn't possible before, but now thanks to BrandYourself, an online reputation manager, you can trace those digital footsteps back to their source.

However, just because someone searches for you, doesn't mean they'll find you.  In order to change this, you must revamp your SEO, or search engine optimization, which determines where your results are found in the grand scheme of the Internet.  Luckily, BrandYourself also offers a service in which you can select three of your links to bump up in search engines.  This way, people will come across you or your business sooner.  As an added bonus, BrandYourself offers its services for free, but they also offer a premium account for a mere $10 a month.

It's important to make sure that people who are looking for you find you, and not give up too quickly or find someone else who isn't you.  According to the 'About' page on its website, "BrandYourself started when our Co-Founder Pete Kistler couldn't get an internship in college because he was being mistaken for a drug dealer in Google."

If you want to make sure that your business gets found on the Internet instead of people finding something else or not finding it at all, then perhaps BrandYourself's services are for you.  In today's fast paced business world, SEO can make or break a potential deal or relationship.  It would be a shame if customers and investors alike couldn't find you or your business on the Internet, even if they did look.
