Working with social media

Not long ago, a new site came to our attention.  It is a free site hosted by the email communication service Constant Contact.  With a request from the Kutztown SBDC, they sent a spokesperson and seminar speaker to the Berks County Community Foundation in Reading, Pa.  Through two seminars, one in the morning the second in the afternoon, the speaker talked about the changing nature of how advertising a small business was no longer a matter of 'wishing' for more customers.  He demanded that businesses now have to make the connection with the customers and keep them to get more.  Social media is a large part of that, since it is relatively easy to start, manage and can have some positive results.
The problem that many of the attendants had at the seminar was: How do you start?  To answer this, the presenter gave out a web address.  The site is free and has step-by-step instructions of how to start a social media presence online, specifically for businesses.  It is updated regularly by a team at the company and is free for public use.

This is in no way an endorsement of the company.  This is to give you more information and a way that you can finally put some plans into motion.  Look over the site, see if you find.
