Small Businesses Weigh In: The Holiday Rush

As we prepare for the home stretch before Christmas day, shoppers are getting their last minute shopping done. Stats have shown that while the average spent on gifts and merchandise is slightly down, there will still be a 2.8% sales growth overall in retail. So how have small businesses been preparing for the holiday rush. Ideas such as having holiday promotions and holiday-themed packages are common during this time of year.

Also, e-commerce is becoming very popular in buying during the holiday season. Consider putting your products available for purchase online, but be prepared to charge an appropriate amount for shipping too! Also, if your small business does not offer gift cards, now would be the time to! Many times people give gifts cards if they are uncertain of a particular thing they want to buy someone.
