'Occupy' movement: Small Business Community Divided

The news has been littered with scenes of 'Occupy' movements across the country, with people from 400 cities nationwide protesting against the concentration of power among big companies in general and big banks in particular. From our standpoint, we are simply providing some of the opinions of small business owners out there. In a survey of 212 small businesses, the divide was nearly 50/50 for support and opposition.

Those who oppose it think it is an ineffective way that the protestors are trying to make their stance. Those in support of the movement agree in the fact that the bailout of big banks has not helped small business. Whether or not you agree with the movement is a personal opinion but it never hurts to be familiar with the economic and social landscape.
